Can BGB Price Rise 100% Despite Larger Holders Dumping On Exchanges?

Can BGB Price Rise 100% Despite Larger Holders Dumping On Exchanges?

The BGB price isn’t exactly inspiring confidence. While several exchange tokens have struggled through 2026, BGB’s decline has been particularly painful. The token is currently trading around $1.62, and if historical demand zones remain relevant, the chart suggests the selling may not be over just yet.

Ironically, on-chain data tells a more optimistic story. Smaller holders continue accumulating BGB. The problem? Larger wallets appear to be doing the exact opposite, creating a tug-of-war that’s keeping the token under pressure.

Demand Zones Remain Far Below Current BGB Price

From a technical perspective, the current price doesn’t appear to sit inside a strong historical demand region.

Instead, two key demand zones stand out. The first lies between $1.08 and $1.19, roughly 30% below the current market price. If that area fails to attract buyers, another historical demand region sits much lower between $0.60 and $0.69, representing nearly a 60% decline from current levels.

That doesn’t guarantee BGB price will revisit either level. However, based on previous price behavior, those are the zones where stronger buying interest has historically emerged. Meanwhile, the probability of a convincing reversal between $1.62 and $1.70 appears relatively weak under current conditions.

Smaller BGB Wallets Keep Buying While Top Whales Sell

Supply distribution paints a more complicated picture. Addresses holding 1 to 10,000 BGB have steadily increased throughout 2026. The 10,000 to 100,000 BGB cohort declined until early June before turning higher during mid-June onwards.

Even more notable, wallets holding 100,000 to 1 million BGB, which had been selling consistently for months, posted a sharp increase in early August.

However, one category continues moving in the opposite direction. Wallets holding 1 million to 10 million BGB have steadily reduced their holdings since the beginning of the year and continued doing so into August.

The result is a market where smaller to medium sized investors are accumulating while much larger holders continue distributing tokens, effectively offsetting much of the buying demand.

Exchange Inflows Continue Supporting Bearish Case

Exchange flow data adds another layer to the story. August has seen a noticeable spike in BGB exchange inflows, typically interpreted as increasing sell-side activity since tokens moving onto exchanges are often prepared for trading.

Combined with continued selling from the largest holder cohort, those inflows suggest meaningful distribution remains underway.

For now, the BGB price appears caught between improving participation from smaller investors and persistent selling pressure from larger holders. Until that imbalance changes or one of the historical demand zones attracts sustained buying till then the path of least resistance may continue pointing lower.
